About the Fallen Firefighter Memorial Project

The Fallen Firefighter Memorial project is a joint venture of the Ventura County Fire Chiefs Association and the Professional Firefighter Associations representing the rank and file firefighters throughout Ventura County.

The Fallen Firefighter memorial committee is composed of members from all involved organizations and the project has been underway for some time. To date the committee has completed the design for the memorial and secured the location where it will be built. Eligibility criteria have been established and follow the same standards as the California State fallen firefighter memorial.

The memorial will be located on the grounds of the Ventura County government center at 800 South Victoria Avenue in Ventura.

With the design and site work complete, all that is left is to raise the funds necessary to construct the memorial. The committee and participating agencies are holding several fund raising events, and collecting donations online. To donate please click on the Donations link above.
